Integrity & Compliance

Editorial Standards & Publishing Guidelines

Authorora is designed to restore long-term credibility to B2B thought leadership. We hold every article, author, and company to a clear, public standard of intellectual honesty, verified provenance, and regulatory compliance.

1. The 1,000-Word Minimum & Technical Depth

Authorora rejects thin, superficial content. Every submission must contain a minimum of 1,000 words of original, in-depth analysis. Submissions below this threshold are blocked server-side by our submission pipeline.

What we look for in our editorial review:

  • Concrete architectural patterns, real engineering tradeoffs, or verified case study findings.
  • Actionable methodology that engineering managers, architects, and technical leaders can implement.
  • Original perspectives rather than summarized roundups of well-known documentation.

2. External Links & Relationship Disclosures

We strictly follow the Google Search Essentials & Spam Policies regarding link schemes. Our linking architecture enforces transparent, honest classification:

  • Strict External Link Cap Articles are capped at a maximum of 2 to 3 external links platform-wide. Excessive linking or "link stuffing" is rejected automatically.
  • Verified Company Domain Matching Any link promoting a company must point exclusively to that company's provably verified domain (verified via DNS, HTML tag, or .well-known token).
  • Mandatory Sponsored or Nofollow Attributes Promotional and partner links strictly carry the rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow" attribute. We do not participate in deceptive "dofollow" schemes that threaten search indexation.
  • Editorial Citations Require Justification If a publisher classifies a link as an unbiased "editorial citation", they must submit a written one-line editorial justification explaining why the citation is non-commercial.

3. Originality, AI Policy & Plagiarism

Authorora uses automated 3-gram shingle comparison algorithms to cross-reference submitted articles against our existing publication corpus. Articles displaying significant duplicate phrases are flagged for copyright investigation.

Artificial Intelligence Policy: We recognize that modern technical writers use LLMs for outlining, grammar checking, and research assistance. However, raw, unedited AI output that lacks proprietary data, authentic author voice, or technical nuance will be rejected in the editorial review phase.

4. Prohibited Niches & Unacceptable Content

Authorora is an enterprise and B2B technology network. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy against the following content categories:

× Online gambling, casinos, betting, or sportsbooks
× Payday loans, predatory lending, or get-rich schemes
× Unregulated pharmaceuticals, supplements, or CBD
× Adult, dating, or sexually suggestive material
× Deceptive affiliate review mills or cloaked redirects
× Unregistered cryptocurrency or meme token pumps

Attempting to submit prohibited content will result in immediate article rejection, a -10 trust score policy penalty, and potential suspension of the publisher account.

5. Abuse Reporting & Community Oversight

Every published article includes a public "Report an Issue with this Article" button in the footer. Readers and peer publishers can flag articles for deceptive sponsored link masking, copyright infringement, or policy breaches.

When an abuse report is confirmed valid by an administrator:

  • The associated publisher incurs an immediate -20 Trust Score penalty.
  • The article is automatically pulled from public view and placed in in_review status.
  • If the publisher's Trust Score falls below threshold, their monthly article allowance is downgraded or revoked.
